Soaring of Galaxia

Chapter 609 A Barrier before the Palace, Nine Dragon Pillars

As soon as the color on the body of the nine pillars had changed, the dragon beasts on top of the pillars seemed to come to life. Lights also shone from their nine pairs of eyes at the same time. With their eyes lit, their mouths opened widely to spit out balls of strange light that appeared to engulf the heaven and earth.

Yan Zhuiyang’s body was engulfed by the chaotic balls of light, instantly tossing him in disorder like a rubber ball.

When Qin Wushuang saw this strange scene, he stopped in his tracks and watched with astonishment. Although he had expected that Yan Zhuiyang would face some sort of trials as he charged in so recklessly, but he did not expect to see such a situation as this.

Boom!

As Yan Zhuiyang’s body was wrapped by the light, he swung the Supreme Dao weapon in his hand with full force and obtained a bit of space. He struggled with all his strength against the streams of chaotic light. Clearly, with one wreckless move, he would be swallowed by this adverse current completely.

Yan Zhuiyang let out a desperate yell as he exerted his full strength to resist the powerful chaotic currents. As the rays shot out by these nine great pillars wrapped together to form streams of chaotic currents, they were like ruthlessly wild vines.

Knocked from left to right by the currents, if Yan Zhuiyang didn’t have the protection of the Supreme Dao weapon, most likely they would have ground up his body. Even with the weapon, Yan Zhuiyang felt extremely uncomfortable.

"Qin Wushuang, save me, save me!" Yan Zhuiyang knew that he was unable to hold on much longer. Even with the Supreme Dao weapon, in his situation he knew struggling would only help him delay time until being swallowed.

Under extreme despair, he almost forgot his previous reality of being chased by Qin Wushuang. Before this he thought that dying in this place would be much better than dying in the hands of Qin Wushuang.

However, when the god of death summoned him he still sought help from Qin Wushuang, displaying an embarrassing state.

As Qin Wushuang looked at Yan Zhuiyang’s struggling position, although he was shocked, he was not moved enough to want to help him.

Now, he was almost sure that this place was the dwelling of the Immemorial Phantom Dragon. Or else, why would this Black Dead Sea have such a majestic place?

Qin Wushuang could see that the power dispersed by the nine great pillars were filled with an ancient presence. For such presence, Qin Wushuang had sensed it from Bao Bao before. It was definitely the presence of the ancient bloodline!

Per Qin Wushuang’s observation, although the dragon beasts on each of the nine great pillars had different appearances, each of them displayed characteristics of the Dragon Clan.

It was known that the dragon had nine sons and each of them were different. These nine great pillars had been arranged in agreement with the saying of the nine sons.

Yan Zhuiyang was on the verge of collapsing from the chaotic currents. Being already speechless, Qin Wushuang watched as Yan Zhuiyang initiated the leftover spiritual Qi from his body with fervent energy as he roared, "I’m going for the broke!"

As soon as he finished speaking, a strange red light spurted from Yan Zhuiyang’s entire body. His spiritual Qi exploded from his dantian while he drove the Supreme Dao weapon from his hand forward towards the closest pillar with full force.

Yan Zhuiyang had indeed initiated his dantian to its extreme limit. He did not hesitate to waste his Primordial Spirit to initiate the Supreme Dao weapon. Indeed, the effect from this dash was completely different than before.

The Supreme Dao long blade made bursts of mournful cries allowing Yan Zhuiyang to break open a narrow space. Like a raging meteor, his body charged forward and he chopped at the giant pillar with all of his strength.

"Break for me!" Yan Zhuiyang gave a loud roar while the Supreme Dao weapon in his hand chopped into the pillar.

By initiating the Primordial Spirit to its extreme boundary, one could cause extreme injury to their dantian. Yan Zhuiyang seemed to have no better option to save his life.

This blade attack allowed Yan Zhuiyang to unleash sixty to seventy percent of his Supreme Dao power.

Boom!

As the power of the divine blade chopped into the giant pillar, it instantly emitted frazzled rays of lights. The explosive sound generated by the collision tore through the entire area.

As Qin Wushuang hid far in the distance, he could feel the trembling and shuddering of the created void.

He could not refrain himself from flipping the Purple Cloud Ying Yang Wings to slightly evade the scattered collision’s influence. He would avoid suffering any unnecessary calamity.

Since Yan Zhuiyang was successful with his first attack, he unleashed another three attacks to take advantage of the leftover power at his disposal. Each ferocious blade attack chopped into the pillar.

As the pillar was chopped by the divine blade, the surrounding lights instantly dimmed. It could not help but to tremble. The lights on the surface also sparked and dimmed interchangeable, for clearly, it was inflicted by the power of the divine blade.

Under Yan Zhuiyang’s coarse and wild chops, the pillar was splitting open in spite of being a solid structure. Spider-like cracks spread across the body of the pillar.

Suddenly, with a loud rumble, the giant pillar collapsed.

As soon as it collapsed, a giant opening had immediately appeared from within the chaotic spiritual Qi currents. Upon seeing hope, Yan Zhuiyang exerted all his force to knock against it by following the collapsing direction of the giant pillar.

Although the space formed by these disordered currents had many layers, with the appearance of this giant opening, the restriction formed by it was immediately reduced. Also as Yan Zhuiyang was next to the opening, he could dash out by exerting his full strength.

Now, Qin Wushuang also felt somewhat impressed by Yan Zhuiyang’s narrow escape. This Yan Zhuiyang was a ruthless character. If the moment was crucial, he was willing to fight if his life depended on it.

However, clearly Qin Wushuang would not let Yan Zhuiyang come out so easily! Just when Yan Zhuiyang had almost escaped the circle, Qin Wushuang initiated the Graceful Spiritual Bow once again.

Whoosh!

A bright and powerful arrow carrying Qin Wushuang’s accumulated power flew out, like a ferocious beast bursting from captivity.

Yan Zhuiyang had just drove away a hungry wolf from the front door and now a fierce tiger was at his back door. With a quick flash, he unconsciously used the Supreme Dao long blade from his hand to block and defend at his chest.

When the Supreme Dao green light arrow arrived, it immediately hit the back of the Supreme Dao long blade. Knocked by the power of this arrow, Yan Zhuiyang’s body was unexpectedly pushed backwards.

His defensive maneuver seemed to have worked, however he had just freed himself from the sea of chaotic currents, but was again knocked by into the whirlpool from the arrow’s power!

Yan Zhuiyang swore loudly, "Darn it!"

Just as he uttered his last word, the whirlpool currents formed by those eight pillars had already entangled him.

This feeling resembled a drowning person just about to climb onto the shore to safety after much struggling, only to be kicked back into the water by a person on the shore.

Enraged, Yan Zhuiyang waved the Supreme Dao long blade hysterically to resist this coarse and wild engulfing power. Fortunately, these nine great pillars were less one unit. After destroying one, the power had at least been reduced twenty percent. This gave Yan Zhuiyang a chance to exert some remaining energy.

Yan Zhuiyang knew his own situation clearly. If he was allowed to enter an absolutely safe environment after breaking free to rest quietly, the side effects and damages from initiating the Primordial Spirit to the extreme boundary could be reduce to a minimum. If lucky, such damage could be reversible.

However, all of this was simply an extravagant hope. Not only was there the formidable power displayed from this disordered whirlpool, but Qin Wushuang who eyed greedily on the outside would simply not let him rest.

There was a saying of kicking someone when they were already down.

Yan Zhuiyang had this exactly when dealing with his past enemies. Now, this Qin Wushuang was definitely not showing mercy to him.

He could not count on Qin Wushuang to show any empathy! Countless ideas flashed across Yan Zhuiyang’s mind, yet none of them would work.

Although initiating the Primordial Spirit to the extreme boundary would bring him a period of valiant fighting strength, he could only maintain this a short time. In the best case, after one hour, he would become an arrow’s final resting place.

Additionally, after this one hour, his entire Dantian would be emptied and he would become an authentic drowning dog. Being struck down in every scenario.

As he thought of this, Yan Zhuiyang became incredibly desperate. He taunted loudly, "Qin Wushuang, if you have any guts, come fight me in here. What kind of skill is it to sneakily attack me from the outside?"

Qin Wushuang said leisurely, "Who said I was being sneaky? I am right in front of you and am not trying to hide. I’m fighting honorably."

Yan Zhuiyang was angered to the extent that his stomach was about to explode. He lashed out angrily, "If you have the guts, let me out and I’ll fight to the death with you! Didn’t you want to kill me? I will give you the chance. Let’s see if it’s you killing me, or me killing you!"

Qin Wushuang mocked at him, "That’s right, I am going to kill you. However, at the moment, with this protective mechanism doing its work, all I need to do is to stand on the outside and prevent the drowning dog from climbing up to shore. Why should I slaughter the dog myself?"

When Yan Zhuiyang heard him comparing him to a "drowning dog" and he was utterly discomfited. He wanted to chop down Qin Wushuang’s head with one swift movement.

Now, he was also somewhat regretful of his own gutless aspect. Initially, if he had not run away and fought with Qin Wushuang, even if he was no match for him, he would have had a chance at the very least.

However, he just did not have such courage and was scared to death by Lei Jiao’s outcome!

Upon falling into such a devilish trap, he had no way out of his dilemma. If he exerted all of his remaining strength to dash out, he would just be shot back in by Qin Wushuang!

How could Yan Zhuiyang not get furious?

Being furious was one aspect, but Yan Zhuiyang knew that he would never give up until the last moment. Being in the chaotic whirlpool, he could already feel that the power of the currents was slightly weaker than before. He worked hard to approach the inside area. He decided that even if he were to risk making his internal injuries more serious, he would break another pillar and dash towards the direction of the great hall.

Now, Qin Wushuang was positioned on the outer side. With the protective barrier of these eight remaining great pillars, it was impossible for Qin Wushuang to go around them to enter the internal side of the great hall.

Therefore, if he could break another pillar and enter from the interior side, he could evade Qin Wushuang’s Supreme Dao arrows and enter the great hall.

As long as he could enter the hall, there would be a great barrier between him and Qin Wushuang. If he wanted to pursue him, he would have to pass through the pillars too!

Even if Qin Wushuang could pass smoothly, at least he would gain some time. In this battle, time equaled life! Setting on this idea, Yan Zhuiyang accumulated the leftover power from his dantian and slowly swam towards the great pillar located at the direction of the great hall!
